damn its been a while since i last updated. update i got a very cute succulent on my trip to nyc. also got a new succulent from lowers thats a dark green/black color i love it sm. spentd like 2 hours repotting my succulents. they look so much better and hopefully they aren't as dead looking now. i feel like bc i use terecotta pots for them they get dry fast but at the same time its needed bc it rains a lot. anyways yeah ill upload pics later

its been a couple days since i pruned back my peppers and already the white flies repopulated a lot. i sprayed both the back and front of each leaf with neem oil until they were clean. the white flies like to get on the backside of leafs. anyways, i think for now ill spray neem oil every couple days and then switch to that one insect soap spray bc apparently white flies can adapt. i also think using those yellow traps will help a lot so ill do that next.

OH also! the fig tree started to grew fruit yayyy!

today is the hardest i worked in so long on my garden. the white fly infestation is still bad but i just got rid of a lot of their fav plants. i ripped out my poblano bc it was so much more far gone, and had to cut back A LOTTT on my moms beautiful pepper plant. it had even developed a little mold. idk why but white flies love pepper plants. so gross. also my poblano plant is funny bc they are so small they look like jalepenos. i think tomorrow im just gonna start some jalepenos from seed and maybe repot some marigolds.

BITCHHHHH I AM SO ANGRY. white flies have infested my garden soooo bad. like bad. theyre all over my moms pepper plant, all over my habaneros. they seem to loveee peppers. i need to take hella action in order to make this better. today was too hot but tomorrow i will have to cut off bad leaves and branches, give them a good wash and spray, and be on it to make it better. im so mf pissed, white flies are so nasty. its like powdery

so i got some new plants from walmart. 2 of them are flowers that were only $1 and called chrysanthemums. theyre like very bright flowers that grow beautifully and have many heads. and then 1 of them is a string of raindrops, normally $15 but on sale for only $4!! i also noticed my red dragon plant was a bit squished so i repotted it into this white planter w some sedum that had also grown bushy. as i was doing it some pieces fell out w roots so i propogated some. looks super cute!

after this i finally went to my sisters and took back my cactus i started from a seed pack. some were dead, some were alive. i ended up reorganizing like 3 diff succulent pots. BUT the small ones are sooo mf cute i cant wait to watch them grow and be able to say i did it from seed.

ugh so i havent really worked on my garden in im gonna say 3 months bc i stayed in mexico during the summer. sooo many weeds grew over and its changed so much ;( v much neglected and now i have sooo much work.

i missed out on ALL of my plants harvest season, which is lowkey the whole point of gardening lmaoo im so mad so much money wasted. my lavenders died, many of my succulents died bc of the rain, all my og cosmos died. my tomatoes got blight and so now theyre basically dead, although aparently they had a high yield.

as far as my garden bed, my sunflowers grew HUGEEE two are currently maybe 10ft tall, some had already died so i missed out on their pretty colors. my cilantro seeds i planted many 3-4 months ago BARELY are maybe 1-2in tall, and alyssum that i seeded months ago is now flowering. and like 2 cosmos plants popped up w flowers.

and my moon flower died but i got to collect some seeds hopefully i can start a new one. the bright side is all my pepper plants are alive just need to be repotted. i also have marigolds that grew HUGE and some that are suffering bc they need to be repotted. my old cosmos self seeded strongly so i have dozens of cosmos plants growing which i love bc they grew so many flower heads.

i have so much work ahead of me. ig brightside i get a reset. im gonna stick to just growing from seed, propograting my succulents, and cleaning. my first fall season yayy

chrysanthemums:super pretty flower!
marigolds: the orange are my fav. bought some from walmart and they are absoultely thriving. grew yellow petite from seed and they grew HUGEEE. they were supposed to be companion plants for potted tomatos andd pepers but they took over the space
jalepenos: great prolific pepper. be very careful when handling when flowering, as the flowers fall off soo easy. mine grew so spicy. i like letting them turn red for taste but can be picked green as well
serranos: love bc you can grow nicely in pots, esp if you have limited space and are prolific.
rosemary: got from trader joes for cheap, you should top it to make sure it grows bushier rather then single stem
habanero: make sure there is little splash black and leaves dont touch soil. mine grew a fungus early on bc the leaves kep touching the soil but after purning the bottom and spraying w neem oil it went away quick. grew small pepper plant and supper spicy
string of buttons: long stemmed succulents that look like roses, i couldnt keep this alive for shit
crassula perforata: sooo hard to keep alive bc of rot, looks like cute long stemmed succulent with cute flower looking top
pachyphytum moonstone: i "proplifted" a small cutting of this at the store and months later its still the same size. i like how funky and plump the leaves are cant wait till it grows
russian mammoth sunflower: grows huge when you water it well, give it space, and minimize transplant shock
autumn red sunflower: probably my fav sunflower, bc it grows so many heads and stays medium/large. absoultely stunning with perfect rings of yellow and red
basil: grew from dollar tree kit and it took SOOOO long to sprout but grew great plants
common sunflowers: love how beautiful sunflowers are. grew some in small pots and its hard to keep them constantly watered. they are also very delicate to transplant, and prone to fungus. the more space you give them the more they thrive.
english & french lavender: love the smell and they bloom often. when it turns woody you should leave it bc so much new growth comes from the woody parts. does best if you keep it on the drier side. in my zone i water it every couple days and let it get mostly dry before watering again.
cosmos (bright lights): sooo prolific grows so many heads daily. i catch butterflies on them the most. they also self seed extremely easy so great for a wild flower patch.
cilantro: i love growing this bc i use it so often but it takes soooo long to grow from seed. i planted some and it took maybe 2-3 months for it to grow 1 in tall.
morning glories: unsuccessful with this plant. i had multiple i grew from seed that were sooo large and had so many leafy green growth but NOOOO flowers. none. its been probably 7 months and there is still no signs of a flower. these are best planted in the ground of a large pot with something to climb on.
moon flower: my fav most beautiful flower. a vining plant that creates white flowers that only bloom for a single night. seeds are weird and cause hallucinations to be careful if you grow it
baby's breath: this shit is so hard to grow. ive done 2 attempts with so many seedlings and only 1 successfully growed. i think its bc they are so sensitive to transplants and their seeds are so small. theyre beautifyl, i recommend growing and not moving
alyssum: grow a lot with my tomatoes. it creates shallowing growing white flowers great for growing with potted plants/garden beds since they stay small and shallow on the surface and make aesthetic cover
sweet 100 tomato: indeterminate type, can grow very large. unfourtanetly mine caught blight early on but still grew a lot of tomatos. i was out of town for the bulk of its growth season so it eventually died due to late stage blight. still, extremely prolific, and makes small sweet red tomatos. if you grow any tomato plant i recommend mulching the bottom to prevent the soil bouncing back and causing disease
cherry tomato (dollar tree grow kit): grew 1 very large plant in a nice large pot. its a vining indeterminate type and grew many small tomatos with great flavor. again, got blight and died. i think if you are growing in mid florida in the summer, you are going to encounter many problems bc of blights. if you are consistent with making sure it doesnt get too much sun, no water splash back, and keep it with good ventilation, and spraying it with anti fungal spray, youll do a lot better with tomatos. theyre sensitive but so worth it for me
chile poblano: large pepper that isnt really spicy and great for stuffing with meat or cheese. love. unfourtanetly mine always grow smaller than the normal grocery stores one but so cool to see grow.
sedum makinoi tundra: beautiful trailing plant. proplifted a piece and it propogated sooo nicely quickly. now i have multiple! pieces that touch the soil will root so lay on soil if you want it to grow large. grows a lot and quick
little missy sedum aka petite bicolor crassula my fav sedum! trails off pots nicely and blooms the tiniest cutest smallest white flowers when thriving
echiveria: cute succulent that grows many pups easily. i reocmmend clearing bottom leaves often so that can happen and to propogate. grows slowly but mine all bloomed the cutest most beautiful flowers
micranthocereus albicephalus: great single trunk cactus that grows quickk. dont water too much
peanut cactus: cutey cactus that grows many pups and arms. my fav is the flowers it blooms so often, probably my fav cactus
red dragon flower succulent: looks like a cactus but has no thorns. the flowers it blooms are so beautiful and freaky
mil madres (k. daigremontiana, k. blossfeldiana, k. laetivirens): BITCHHH this grows so many children its scary. i have one thats almost 4 feet tall and its children already have so many children. i just like them cuz they look freaky
panda plant: harder than other succulent plants to propogate. the one i proplifted from the store is still about the size of a dime and weird looking, grows so slow but cool bc its fuzzy
sedum tokyo sun: i LOVEEE this sedum i lied this my fav. the cutest smallest bright yellow star shaped foliage. i grew so much from a tiny little cutting from my sisters plant. great for ground cover, and hardy.
aloe pink blush: tiny and cute, but grows so slow sometimes i think its dead.
aloe reg: bitch this grows so many pups and its roots grow very fast, great for propogating
sedum adolphi: freaky sedum that looks more like a succulent. got it on sale at walmart from the bad plant clerance section and very easy to propogate. fast growing as well, nice yellow color
tessellated haworthia: green/purple aloe vera that looks like a aloe plant. i bought 1 on sale with many pups and its so cute and healthy now. give roots space
garden geranium: grows many nice white flowers, derpy wide leaves. i notice whenever you transplant it it always has so many yellow and dead leaves. i just take them off and watch it slowly grow back into bloom again
anacampseros telephiastrum variegata 'sunrise': long and droopy succulent w green and purple leaves. very easy to get overwater but also easy to dry smh. leave in sun more to make it turn more pink
graptosedum (bronze): my fav succulent probably. grows long woody stems with many pups. SUPERRR easy to propogate and grows beautiful reds in the green leaves with sun stress. made dozens and dozens off 1 $5 plant
mango trees: super easy to propgate just put seed in soil and wait. give the tree space bc it grows large. fertilize during growing season
